Our weight lifting programs for beginners have helped many men and women take the first step to improving their health and fitness.
One of the main concerns that most people - people just like you - have when getting started is making sure that they are not going to overdo it and get hurt.
No weight training program should make you so sore that you can't perform your normal, everyday activities the day after your workout.
Too often, I've seen personal trainers who are new to the industry give their clients exercises that are too hard (and sometimes too fancy) only to have that client leave hurt, discouraged, and/or unhappy.
The easiest way to ensure that your personal trainer is able to provide you with a weightlifting program that is suitable for your fitness level is to take advantage of a complimentary session or evaluation.
During this meeting, a true fitness professional should ask questions pertaining to your exercise history ~ what you like and don't like, what's been most effective for you in the past, and he or she should also cover your history of injuries and/or operations to ensure that nothing you do together will aggravate an old injury.
In our own evaluation sessions, Heather and I also cover postural and movement imbalances. This is our magnifying glass to see what muscles may be too tight, what may be too weak, and what may have been preventing you from reaching your goals all along.
This is the information we use to design efficient flexibility training programs, core conditioning programs, weight loss programs, and our popular fat loss programs.
Without the important fitness evaluation step, many clients would not see the impressive results that they've been searching for.
